The Einstein Marathon will be held virtually this year – this means that everyone runs for themselves and everyone uploads their routes and times to the Einstein Marathon portal. With this idea, we want to invite many runners and companies to take part in September – and also worldwide. The motto is that you can run virtually anywhere in the world. Together with the international companies from the region, we want to invite participants from all continents to complete one of the specified routes in the Einstein Marathon. Our goal: participants from over 100 countries and the largest virtual run in Germany. In order to accommodate runners in other time zones, the duration of the event was extended to two days and registrations for companies and individual runners were also set up in multiple languages.
Registration is already set up. Click here to register
You can choose between the following disciplines:
ZEISS-marathon relay (21 km)
Beurer half marathon (21 km)
Husqvarna Group Power Nordic Walking (21 km)
Liqui Moly City Run (10 km)
DING-Walk (10 km)
AOK-health run (5 km)
The participants must then complete the respective route between Saturday, October 2, 10 a.m. and Sunday, October 03, 6 p.m. and upload the elapsed time together with the route log using their own upload function on the Einstein Marathon page. Starting lists are then created from this, and each participant can print out their personal certificate on the Internet.
How it works:
To take part in the virtual Einstein Marathon, you have to register online on the Einstein Marathon website – this can be done as a single runner or as a team. The entry fees will be debited for individual runners with the registration, for running teams after the registration deadline.
How much is the entry fee:
The entry fee is 10 euros (ZEISS-marathon relay 20 euros), which includes the technical requirements for uploading the routes and times that include the evaluation. In addition, each participant (in Germany) will receive a start number and the Einstein Marathon Corona tube by mail. For this reason, the postal address with place of residence and country must also be specified when registering.
How does the upload of the route run work?
With the registration confirmation, each participant receives their individual upload link. This leads to the following form. The name of the participant and the chosen discipline are already stored here. The completed route and a photo of the running record can be uploaded here.
When is the registration deadline and how long can you upload results?
Registration is already open. Registration closes on October, 01, 2021.
For participants abroad, registration is also available in English. The period for running and uploading is from Saturday, October 2, 10 a.m. and Sunday, October 03, 6 p.m. (CEST)
What ratings are there?
Representation of an alphabetical list of finishers with times.
Team ranking after kilometers run. There will also be a combined team ranking with the kilometres run on site in Ulm/Neu-Ulm and the virtual kilometres run worldwide.
Where can you run?
You can run anywhere. However, the organizers expressly ask not to walk on the original routes and to strictly observe the Corona specifications that apply then and on site.
The participants have to take care of the catering themselves. If the Corona requirements permit, the organizer plans to set up several supply stations at different running hot spots in the region.
